Join our dynamic team at Air Liquide as a Zone Project Engineer where you are managing Air Liquide facilities projects as well as all related services, from concept stage, engineering, design, procurement, construction and final handover.
Job Duties:
Manage capital project execution so that the end result meets the original intended requirements.
Ensure capital projects are completed on time, within budget, injury-free, to approved design standards and with complete documentation.
Develop and implement capital projects to improve the safety, efficiency and reliability of production units within the O.N.E network
Partner with Plant Projects Group/ CI Group in the design and execution phases of larger capital projects as needed.
Provide engineering support as needed and within capacity to production units in the Oxygen, Nitrogen, and Energy (O.N.E) Network system.
Support deployment of the organizations’ technical standards to the plants through compliance and adherence to group technical standards in project execution
Develop and maintain good communication channels with internal and external project stakeholders
Lead continuous improvement efforts by continually identifying and sharing with management, opportunities for improvement in processes and systems..
Comply to project procurement procedures, prepares scope of work documents, and supports technical assessment of suppliers and contractors.
Conduct project cost estimation and where necessary obtain quotations for equipment and/or EPC services.
Generates Authorization for Capital Expenditure (ACE) requests and follow-up on the approval process
Develops and maintains project schedules to ensure timely delivery and effectively manages project budget .
Effectively manages changes in project scope to minimize impact to project deliverables.
Organizes and facilitates design reviews on projects in compliance with design validation procedure.
Stay actively involved in professional development; be proactive to identify and plan for development opportunities.
Maintain a personal zero accident safety record
Support and comply with all applicable company procedures and policies.
Participate in the life critical safety program by identifying and reporting near misses, conducting job safety observations, and participating in all monthly safety meetings.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Controls) required
2+ years of operational or engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications
Solution-oriented, with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform well under stress, and under time constraints
Comfortable in both corporate and field environments
Has full range of motion and ability to lift 50 lbs
Can travel for extended periods of time (1 to 15 days), with little advance warning
Comply with all corporate policies and practices
Able to work effectively and collaborate within a diverse team, and organization
Strong organizational skills, able to multi-task effectively, with changing priorities
Familiarity with Google, MS Office, MS Project, Maximo, and Oracle
Ability to work extended hours/shift work as business needs dictate
