With ING Instant Lease, it also shows itself as a real innovator in the sector. ING Lease Belgium is part of Business Banking locally and global leasing internationally.

As a Zone Manager for the region Center (based in Brussels), you are the ambassador and first point of contact on behalf of ING Lease for all matters relating to your customer portfolio, both for our customers and within our own organization and ING Belgium. You create visibility in the market and in the distribution channels Business Banking, especially Relationship and Guided clients and prospects within ING Belgium. You contribute to the planned growth in production and profitability, while respecting the strategy and guidelines of ING Lease. You report to the Sales Director Structured Lease of ING Lease, and you are part of a team of 7 zone managers.

Your key responsibilities

  • You (pro)actively manage the portfolio of your dedicated region by:
    • having prospect/client meetings and presentations/sales pitches
    • analyzing and evaluating the customer’s needs
    • translating them in an attractive ING Lease proposal
    • preparing the credit package and defending it in the credit committee
    • negotiating and closing the deal
    • ensuring a smooth execution of the deal
  • As an ambassador within your dedicated region, you actively represent ING Lease at internal and external events (including giving presentations). You encourage the ING Business centres and relationship managers of your dedicated region to promote and sell ING Lease to attain the commercial objectives.
  • You provide continuous development/trainings for the relationship managers and business bankers of ING Belgium.
  • You propose new commercial initiatives to be implemented together with the team.

You build expertise in the continuous evolution of the sustainable, circular economy and specialized leasing matters: technical, tax, legal, markets trends…

  • Finally, you build and develop a solid and trusting relationship with the customer, while striving for a perfect balance between customer satisfaction, profitability and customer risk.

As a Zone Manager you will also need:

  • an academic background (in economics or a related discipline is a plus)
  • at least 3-5 years’ experience in a commercial function in a business environment
  • strong negotiation skills
  • excellent oral and written skills in Dutch, French and good oral and written skills in English

  • a dealmaker, commercial by nature, but nevertheless risk aware
  • client driven and able to translate the client’s needs in an added-value proposition
  • at ease in Business Banking business environments
  • a real team player who is used to working independently
  • a good communicator
  • well organized
  • capable of building an internal and external network to generate business
  • ready to be an ING Lease promotor internally and externally
