Job Description

A busy, welcoming family in Notting Hill, London, seeks a fabulous live-out housekeeper who can start in September. The usual schedule will be 9.00am-5.00pm Monday through Friday. The family normally spend their weekends elsewhere, however please be flexible to accommodate occasional longer hours or weekend work if the family remain in residence.

Responsibilities

You will be assisting a live-in housekeeper, so please be prepared to get involved with all aspects of organising and cleaning the home, including with regular deep cleaning. Responsibilities will include:

• General cleaning to include daily tidying, dusting, mopping and vacuuming
• Ensuring all communal and heavy-use areas are maintained
• Changing linens and towels every 3 days
• Household laundry and ironing
• Keeping an eye on inventories, and making lists of missing supplies
• Reporting maintenance issues
• Light grocery shopping and other ad-hoc errands
• Working closely with a fully staffed household, responding to any requests from the family and/or house manager

Requirements

• A good level of fitness - the home has 5 flights of stairs!
• Discreet, flexible and calm personality
• Impressive attention to detail
• Comfortable around children
• Positive, can-do attitude, able to work equally well as part of a team, or independently
• Plenty of previous high-end housekeeping experience
• Excellent references
• Initiative and self-motivation with a positive approach to tasks and a bright, friendly disposition

Salary and Benefits

• From £45,000-£50,000 gross pa, DOE
