SERVPRO Team Dobson is seeking a dependable, hardworking Floor Technician to join our team at Youngstown State University If you take pride in creating clean, safe, and polished environments and enjoy hands-on work, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Do

As a Floor Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of university facilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Carpet cleaning and extraction
  • Preparing floors for cleaning, buffing, burnishing, and refinishing
  • Operating floor care equipment, including auto scrubbers, floor machines, burnishers, and vacuums
  • Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming hard and soft floor surfaces
  • Performing floor maintenance to ensure a clean, polished, and professional appearance
  • Cleaning various surface types throughout campus facilities
  • Properly mixing, using, and disposing of cleaning chemicals and solutions
  • Identifying and reporting maintenance or repair needs to management
  • Following all safety procedures and cleaning schedules
  • Delivering quality work in a timely and consistent manner
Physical Requirements

This position requires a high level of physical activity and the ability to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach, push, pull, and lift
  • Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Climb ladders and work at elevated heights
  • Work in confined or tight spaces when necessary
  • Safely operate cleaning and floor care equipment
  • Work around cleaning chemicals and other cleaning-related materials
Qualifications

  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license or government-issued ID
  • Social Security card required for employment verification
  • Must successfully pass a background check

Schedule: Monday through Friday | 5PM - 1:30AM (No Overtime)

Compensation: $16.00 per hour
