Job Description

(Field Service Engineer – YieldStar)

This position is a customer support role responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of ASML YieldStar systems. The role primarily involves on-site field service, including troubleshooting and performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. With a considerable level of autonomy, the engineer works independently or as part of a team to diagnose and resolve issues, escalating to central support when necessary.

In addition, the role involves providing customer training on system operation and maintenance, as well as proposing improvements. This position requires daily use of both Japanese and English and offers the opportunity to work in an international environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve system issues
  • Perform repairs, parts replacement, and maintenance tasks
  • Provide customer training on operation and maintenance
  • Document, report, and escalate technical issues
  • Propose improvements and share technical knowledge
  • Support and mentor less experienced engineers

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
