Job Description

Looking for a caring and proactive individual to support student engagement and after-school supervision programmes within a secondary school environment.

Key Responsibilities


  • Support the daily operations and management of the school's Canopy space

  • Build positive relationships and engage students during programme hours

  • Maintain accountability systems for games and equipment loan/return

  • Plan and facilitate student engagement programmes and workshops

  • Support students' socio-emotional learning and school connectedness

  • Assist in Learning Journeys and student outings where required

  • Observe and identify student support needs

  • Work closely with teachers and school personnel on student progress

  • Provide administrative and programme support when needed

Requirements


  • Preferably Diploma in Social Work or related discipline

  • Experience in youth engagement, student support or programme facilitation preferred

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and rapport-building skills

  • Able to manage students firmly yet respectfully

  • Comfortable working collaboratively with teachers and stakeholders

  • Preferably bilingual

Preferred Experience


  • At least 1 year of social work, youth work or student engagement experience

  • Experience planning and facilitating group activities or workshops for students


Duration/Working hours:

4 months contract (Option to extend another year) Jun 2026 to Oct 2027

*Total estimated working hours (morning shift): 127.5 hours
*Total estimated working hours (afternoon shift): 255 hours

Morning Shift (2.5 hours)- Tuesday Wednesday,Thursday

Afternoon Shift (3 hours)- Monday to Friday

*Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazette public and
school holidays, except for the dates specified below where applicable

**Additional requirement is optional, and subject to availability of Youth
Worker. Provision of Youth Worker for morning shift is not mandatory.
