ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an excellent opportunity for Therapeutic Care Workers with experience working with children, young people and families to join CASPA's Residential Care Team in Darwin, NT.
Working with the ITRC model, you will strive to enhance the lives of young people in our Residential Out-of-Home Care program incorporating a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach. You will help create a home-like environment and tailor your support to the individual needs of each young person. You will support young people in attaining their educational goals, undertaking extracurricular activities aligned with their interests, and supporting their connection to community and family.

To best support the safety and therapeutic needs of the young people in our
care, this role is currently open to female applicants only in accordance with

The position involves providing therapeutic care
to young people who have experienced significant trauma. To support their
safety, well-being, and recovery, care arrangements are tailored to meet their
individual needs, including gender-specific support preferences.
These requirements are considered reasonable and necessary to meet the participant’s support needs and to deliver safe and effective person-centred support. Where participant-specific requirements apply, these are assessed as genuine occupational requirements necessary for the effective delivery of services in accordance with applicable legislation, including the Sex Discrimination Act 1984.

Please note: Our Therapeutic Residential Care program runs in a 24/7 roster model. Therefore, successful candidates will be required to work various shifts, including day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
