Prince William Public Libraries (PWPL) is seeking an enthusiastic, imaginative, community-minded person to join our team as a Youth Services Librarian at Chinn Park Library in Woodbridge, VA. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, flexibility, a collaborative attitude, and excellent customer service skills. This role is ideal for a librarian who wants to combine their love of public service with their passion for creating quality programming for children, teens, and families.
Currently, Chinn Park is undergoing a landmark, large-scale renovation and you will be a vital part of the leadership team that re-introduces the community to everything a modern Chinn Park has to offer. While this position is based at the Chinn Park Library, the selected candidate may be required to work at alternative county library locations during the upcoming building renovation.

About This Role:

The position may require travel to other branches within the system. A DMV check will be conducted for employees who drive while on County business.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, exempt 37.5 hours per week position. Hours are scheduled Monday - Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday – Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The schedule includes days, one evening per week, and rotating weekends as assigned. Scheduling flexibility is imperative. Schedule may vary depending on the needs of the library.
Starting Salary Range
$65,910.00 – $79,408.88 / year
