Join MacKillop Family Services as a Youth Residential Care Worker and support young people in a safe, therapeutic home environment. You’ll help with daily routines, build meaningful relationships, and respond to complex needs with empathy and professionalism. This is a parttime/casual opportunity based in the west metro region within our OOHC program. The position reports to the Residential House Supervisor.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care or other similar or relevant tertiary qualifications.
• Experience working in a residential care setting is preferred.
• Highly developed capacity for emotional self-regulation including the capacity to set and maintain consistent boundaries to provide safety, stability and consistency.
• Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, along with awareness of the current issues affecting Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.

You must have a:

• First Aid Cert (with a minimum 6-month validity)
• Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
• Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
• Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
• Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
