A bit about the role

At Youth Projects, our Youth Program Lead will form an integral part of our Youth Employment and Training Program and support the Youth Program Manager in planning, designing and coordinating the delivery of our exciting new training initiative, the Pathways to Clean Energy program.

This role is ideal for someone with experience coordinating funded, compliance-driven projects who wants to help create real education, training and employment pathways for young people across Melbourne.

The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of youth engagement, training and employment programs, along with the ability to balance program innovation, stakeholder engagement and service delivery with the reporting and compliance requirements of a funded initiative.

Key Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Youth Work, Community Services, Career Development or similar highly desired
  • Experience coordinating community, employment, training and/or youth sector programs
  • Experience managing grants or funded initiatives, including compliance, budgets and stakeholder relationships

About The Royal Children's Hospital

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
