The Role

Reporting to the General Manager Health Services, the Youth & Ophthalmic Programs Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the development, implementation, and administration of the St John Youth Program while providing operational and administrative support to our Ophthalmic Programs, including the Eye Van and Vintage Vision initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Youth Program

• Coordinate volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and engagement activities.
• Support the development and implementation of the Youth Program framework and curriculum.
• Assist in developing and maintaining youth-related policies and procedures, with a strong focus on child safety and compliance.
• Maintain volunteer records, credentials, training schedules, and communications.
• Provide administrative support for Youth Program events and activities.

Ophthalmic Programs

• Coordinate Eye Van scheduling, stakeholder engagement, planning, and program administration.
• Support equipment, stock, and compliance management.
• Assist with travel coordination and reporting activities.
• Maintain accurate program records and reporting data.
• Contribute to the ongoing sustainability and growth of our ophthalmic services programs.

Reporting & Administration

• Support departmental reporting requirements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Assist with invoice tracking and financial administration.
• Provide general administrative and project support across the Health Services team.

About You

You will bring:

• Qualifications in Business Administration, Community Services, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Proven senior administration experience.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience coordinating projects, programs, or teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Forms.
• Experience with CRM systems.
• A commitment to child safety and community outcomes.
• Current Blue Card and Criminal History Check (or ability to obtain).
• Current Open C Class Driver Licence with a strong driving record.
