FUNCTION: The Youth Ministries coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating quality youth programs under the supervision of the corps officers. The Youth Ministries coordinator will provide ministry support in our social services programs, volunteer programs; and community programs as needed. Youth Ministries coordinator will also participate in assisting, leading, and helping with our social services oro2rams and EDS programs as needed.
a) Maintain a daily devotional and prayer lifeb) Weekly participation in Corps Worship Servicesc) Work in unity with the Corps Officers, YPSM, and Social Services Coordinator to ensure programming excellence in all aspects of our youth ministries.d) Develop and maintain a working relationship with all persons in accordance with the practices and policies o( the Salvation Army.e) Coordinate and implement the evangelism, discipleship and leadership development of the young people involved in corps programs including opportunities for new ministry initiatives.f) Plan and implement recruitment, leadership development & training opportunities to increase the quality and effectiveness of volunteer staff.g) Regular contact and visitation of those that participate in youth activities and their families.h) Provide leadership and support for youth Sunday School classes, Corps cadets, and youth bible study ministries.i) Provide Leadership and support as needed for youth activities such as Junior soldiers, Corps cadets, Bible Bowl, Music programs, VBS, Level UP! Programs, and more.j) Recruit, coordinate, and transport kids attending programs, camp, Youth Councils, young adult gatherings & divisional events.k) Maintain all records of attendance & statistics for all programing as required.
l) Maintain a clean work and programs area.
m) Maintain youth programming throughout the program year as directed by the Corps officers.n) Attend all necessary training opportunities as required.o) Assist with Christmas ministries programs.
p) perform all other duties as assigned.
