Youth Inclusion Panel Coordinator
Salary: £32,600 per annum
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Contract/Hours: Permanent / Full Time – 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm)

Closing date for applications is midnight of Thursday 30th July and interviews are scheduled to take place w/c 10th August

A bit about the role

As a Youth Inclusion Panel Co-ordinator, you'll play a key role in improving outcomes for children and young people by coordinating effective, multi-agency support. Working closely with families, professionals and partner organisations, you'll help ensure young people receive the right support at the right time, facilitating panel meetings, managing referrals, and driving positive outcomes through collaborative planning and intervention.

About the Service

Our Early Help and Youth Inclusion service is dedicated to supporting children, young people and families at the earliest opportunity, helping to prevent challenges from escalating and ensuring they receive the right support at the right time. Working collaboratively with schools, health professionals, children's services, community organisations and other partners, we focus on building resilience, reducing risk and improving outcomes for young people.

The Youth Inclusion Panel brings together a range of agencies to identify and support young people who may be vulnerable to social exclusion, poor educational outcomes, exploitation, offending behaviour or other complex challenges. Through coordinated planning and targeted interventions, the service helps young people stay safe, engaged and connected to positive opportunities within their communities.

What you do could make a difference

Some key responsibilities of the Youth Inclusion Panel Coordinator are;

  • Co-ordinating Youth Inclusion Panel referrals, assessments and meetings, ensuring effective multi-agency decision-making and support planning.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with children, families, schools and partner agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Preparing and monitoring case records, reports and management information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Representing the service at meetings and reviews, providing professional advice and ensuring actions are followed through.
  • Supporting continuous service improvement through data analysis, reporting and engagement in training and partnership activities.

Let’s talk about you

  • A qualification in Social Care, Health, Youth Work or a related field.
  • Experience working with children, young people and families, ideally within a multi-agency or safeguarding environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong report-writing, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with confidence using databases and Microsoft Office applications.
