Summary

The Youth Hockey Instructor reports to the Recreation Supervisor and conducts all on-ice instruction related to The Learn to Play Hockey Program.

Duties also include assisting the Recreation Leader with taking attendance; organizing classes running on ice programming according to the outlined curriculum; evaluating participants; and assisting the participants to develop fundamental skating and hockey skills.

Hours: Up to six hours per week, with classes on Saturday mornings during October to March.

Examples of duties

Previous Hockey experience preferred including coaching and instruction. USA Hockey Coaching and Safe Sport Training Preferred. Must have or be willing to obtain First Aid, CPR and concussion protocol training and certification. All applicants are subject to a background check. Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
