Required Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent, and TWO (2) YEARS’ experience with youth

· OR THIRTY (30) SEMESTER HOURS of college credit AND ONE (1) YEAR OF EXPERIENCE with youth

· OR AN ASSOCIATE’S DEGREE.

· Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure while dealing with a variety of emotions and frustrations.

· Valid Colorado Driver’s License (or ability to obtain within 30 days) with 5+ years of driving experience.

· Pass FBI, CBI, and TRAILS record checks; flexibility in scheduling.

As a Youth Residential Direct Support Professional, you’ll teach life skills, assist with daily routines, and support youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) with personalized growth plans, ensuring a safe/clean environment. You'll supervise activities, lead community outings, document progress, handle emergencies, and collaborate with your team to inspire growth and success. Pay Range $18.67 – $22.35 an hour based off experience with youth and education.

Positions available: (Remove what does not apply at the time of posting)

1. PRN status (On Call shifts)

2. Tue-Fri 3pm-10pm / Sat 8am-8pm

3. Sat & Sun 7am-7pm / Mon & Fri 2pm-10pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ensure safety and supervision of residents at home and in the community, assisting with daily routines and programs.

· Perform case management, including crisis intervention, program development, and documentation.

· Communicate professionally with families, schools, therapists, and other stakeholders.

· Handle emergencies, administer medications, and maintain documentation (e.g., log notes, incident reports).

· Support and model trauma-informed care, fostering a safe and healthy environment.

· Participate in training, meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

· Perform administrative tasks, basic cleaning, and other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure while dealing with a variety of emotions and frustrations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic math; strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Crisis management certification (Safety Care) and ability to work effectively under pressure as part of a team.

Physical and Mental Demands:

· Requires physical strength, endurance, and mobility for household tasks and behavioral interventions.

· Must lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and maintain various postures (kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing) for extended periods.

· Ability to restrain, hold, or transport residents using quick body movements as needed.

· Completion and maintenance of Safety Care certification (Crisis Intervention Training).

· Must be physically present at assigned locations (home, school, or community).

· Requires adequate hearing, vision, mental flexibility, emotional stability, and creativity to handle challenging situations.
