Summary
This position supports FSSNF’s Foster Youth: Bridge to Work Project through the coordination, implementation, and oversight of youth enrichment, workforce development, life-skills, and experiential learning programs for youth and young adults involved in foster care and extended foster care services within Circuit 4.
The Youth Well-Being Enrichment Specialist will oversee program operations for The Challenge, Just Like Me Camp, SPLASH, and other youth development initiatives. Responsibilities include outreach and enrollment, program coordination, volunteer and community engagement, life-skills and career readiness programming, youth mentorship support, event logistics, and grant compliance. This position also works collaboratively with foster parents, CMOs, community partners, other FSSNF Department Programs, such as Bridge to Work, and the Youth Advisory Council and service providers to ensure youth have access to meaningful experiences that promote healing, independence, employment readiness, and overall well-being.
Additionally, this role will oversee any grant funding associated with these programs, including managing documentation, tracking grant expenditures, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, and meeting all grant deadlines.
This position is currently funded for one year.
Essential Job Duties

- - - - Support outreach, enrollment, and participant engagement efforts by collaborating with case management organizations (CMOs), foster parents, community providers, schools, and other referral partners to identify and connect eligible youth to services and activities.
- - - - Develop and facilitate experiential learning opportunities, life-skills workshops, and career readiness activities designed to strengthen independent living skills, confidence, teamwork, leadership development, and workforce preparedness.
- - - - Coordinate and support implementation of The Challenge life-skills series, Just Like Me Camp programming, and SPLASH certification and recreational programming, ensuring activities align with program goals and intended youth outcomes.
- - - - Recruit, coordinate, and maintain relationships with volunteers, mentors, trainers, community organizations, and program partners to support program delivery and youth engagement.
- - - - Assist youth with accessing supportive services and resources, including transportation assistance, educational supports, workforce opportunities, and referrals to housing, mental health, and community-based services as needed.
- - - - Manage grant-related documentation, reporting requirements, budget tracking, and compliance activities associated with youth development and workforce programming.
- - - - Evaluate program effectiveness through data collection, participant feedback, outcome tracking, and ongoing quality improvement efforts.
- - - - Maintain accurate program records, attendance tracking, and required documentation in accordance with agency and contract requirements.

Minimum

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred though relevant experience may be substituted.
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in one or more of the following: community engagement, managing programs, volunteer management or event coordination.
- Valid driver’s license.
Schedule & Hours
Standard Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (with some flexibility).  Occasional evenings and weekends required to accommodate youth programming and special events.

- Provide copy of driver’s license.
- Provide copy of automobile insurance if deemed to be a driving risk.
- Positive references.
