The Youth Development Center Teacher provides care and early childhood education for infant, toddler or preschool children, ages 0-5, in a licensed childcare & preschool center environment.

We are looking for someone who displays the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility Requires a minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification or the ability to obtain certification within a specified time-frame. The YMCA offers a CDA Certification training program, including financial assistance. A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or a related field preferred. Previous experience working in an early childhood setting preferred. Must have the ability to effectively communicate with parents regarding the child's activities, behavior, eating, etc. CPR & First Aid Certification and Child Abuse prevention training courses must be completed within 90 days of hire and are provided by the YMCA.
At the YMCA Youth Development Centers, we provide high-quality, values-oriented, state-licensed childcare and pre-school education. We have three locations in Bismarck Mandan--the Main YMCA on Washington Street, North location on Century Avenue and Mandan location inside the Family Wellness facility.
