Job Description

CORA Services is a dynamic and growing not for profit organization in Philadelphia. For more than 50 years, CORA has served children and families experiencing emotional, academic and social challenges that impact their development and productivity. CORA is currently seeking Youth Career Learning Facilitators to join our YouthCOR Summer Camp team at:

George Washington High School – 10175 Bustleton Avenue, 19116

Positions are part-time temporary (summer) positions

Pay Rate - $18.00/hour

Summer Camp hours: Mondays - Wednesdays from 8:30am – 2:30pm AND Thursdays from 8:30am - 4:30pm

Camp runs June 15, 2026, through July 31, 2026

*Camp staff must be available to work all days of training and the camp session

All CORA team members are expected to uphold the mission, vision and values of CORA Services which includes valuing all individuals and supporting each individual’s potential for growth

In addition, as a Summer Career Learning Facilitator your duties will include:

  • Build relationships with a small group of students in middle school.
  • Lead instruction time, in a camp setting.
  • Guide youth through project-based learning getting hands on learning about careers.
  • Mentor youth in professionalism, career exposure programs, and social emotional learning.
  • Ensure the safety of youth with active supervision while on site and off site on college visits and field trips. Staff must be comfortable with taking public transportation with the youth.
  • Be a role model to all youth.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma/GED required (must present diploma or GED certificate)
  • Verifiable experience working with children in a school, summer camp, recreational program, after school/OST program, or other setting (e.g., church group, volunteering, babysitting)
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain positive rapport with students and other CORA team members
  • Demonstrated passion for engaging with and supporting the needs of children
