Job Description

Examples of Basic Tasks and Duties

The following are examples of work performed in the position allocated to the job class. No attempt is made to be exhaustive; related, similar or other logical duties are performed as assigned.

Prepares and maintains files, documentation, legal documents and various reports.

Provide education about drug laws, effects of drugs, and history of drug use to adolescent drug offenders.

Provide information about a wide variety of drug related topics to the community.

Collect urine specimens and interpret urinalysis results.

Consult and have frequent conferences with other Court personnel and outside agencies about drug-related matter.

Provide group, individual and family counseling to clients enrolled in drug court.

Keep informed of current research regarding effects of drugs and drug treatment.

Establish and maintain relationships with treatment facilities.

Provide out-patient follow-up to client discharge from in-patient treatment unit.
