Job Description

Meritus Health is proud to participate in the Washington & Frederick County Youth Apprenticeship Program, providing high school students with meaningful hands-on experience in healthcare careers. Apprentices will gain valuable exposure to healthcare environments while developing professional skills, learning workplace expectations, and supporting departmental operations under the guidance of experienced team members.

This posting is intended for students who have already been selected and hired into this position.

Program Expectations

• Participate in the Youth Apprenticeship Program throughout the program year
• Maintain professionalism, attendance, and engagement
• Follow departmental policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements
• Complete approximately 450 program hours during the apprenticeship period
• Work collaboratively with assigned departments and mentors

Qualifications

• Selected participant in the Washington or Frederick County Youth Apprenticeship Program
• Interest in healthcare career exploration
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism and reliability
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
