About Us
headspace is Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention mental health services to 12- to 25-year-olds. Headspace has over 150 centres nationwide and has a ‘no wrong door’ approach for those seeking assistance.
headspace Kununurra, located on Miriwoong country, is a place where young people can get free and confidential support for their mental health, access non-judgemental information and support around drugs or alcohol and access to a GP for physical health needs (including sexual health). headspace also helps with vocational and study needs.
Wunan Health is the only private GP Practice in the East Kimberley region. We provide a range of high-quality health care services to the residents of Kununurra, Wyndham, Halls
Creek and extended communities. Our dedicated team comprises of General Practitioners/Registrars, Registered Nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners and our experienced Medical Administration team. Wunan Health is the lead agency of headspace Kununurra.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. Together, we are committed to improving the health outcomes for children today and in the future.
In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
