Salary Range: $16.90 - $20.45 HourlyThe YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking highly engaged, intentional, and service-oriented individuals for part-time, seasonal Program Staff to assist with an afterschool Safety Around Water program.
In this program, elementary age students will participate in rotations that include time in the pool under the supervision of certified lifeguards, as well as time outside the pool where your responsibility will be to conduct curriculum-based activities. This role is a profound opportunity to directly impact the lives of the communities we serve by fostering genuine connections, practicing exceptional hospitality, and creating a safe, positive, and enriching environment where every interaction is meaningful. The Program Staff will help support an engaging and well‑supervised setting for 20 children through effective guidance and activity leadership.
Location: Staff will report to an assigned school site at the Newport Mesa School District and accompany students by bus to the Newport-Mesa YMCA facility for program activities. At the end of each program day, staff will travel with students by bus back to the school site.

Schedule: This position is a seasonal opportunity running from September 22 through November 20th. Candidates must be available to attend required training prior to the start of the program and commit to working throughout the entire program period.
