Responsibilities

This is a 2026-2027 academic year internship starting in September 2026. You will be working on an as needed basis to be determined by the project team. This position is expected to be between 10-20 hours a week.

You will be responsible for developing and applying basic skills in areas of specialization with clear direction from your supervisor. Responsibilities and individual tasks include:

  • Deliver entry-level technical customer service support.
  • Support creating of Communications and Outreach materials for ITS Programs.
  • Use project management tools to support the team in managing project deliverables, schedules, and client communications.
  • Provide data entry and analysis support.
  • Conduct research on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).
  • Use common scripting languages to develop internal project management tools.


Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college or university as an undergraduate student, with a focus on civil engineering, transportation engineering or planning, or relevant areas and a minimum 3.3 GPA
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to attend occasional in-person meetings in the Washington, DC area


Desired Qualifications

An interest or skill in the following:

  • Transportation engineering
  • Public Outreach
  • Have an awareness, understanding, and working knowledge of project management tools and technologies, and have a willingness to learn
  • Experience using common scripting languages (e.g. Python)
  • Working with the US Federal Government

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.

USD $23.00 - USD $38.00 /Hr.
