This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking junior school in Cornwall, which in April 2026 was rated by Ofsted as meeting expectations or performing strongly across all areas. Become part of our exceptional team, working alongside dedicated, experienced staff and inspiring children. Our school is full of energy, positivity, and like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a real difference to the lives of children in Torpoint.
We are actively looking for, and excited to find, a teacher (whether starting out as an ECT or seeking the next step in their career) who have the ability to form outstanding relationships with children and get to the heart of each and every child in their care; someone who has high aspirations and is passionate about providing children with the very best opportunities.
In order to support you in making the very best of this role, you will receive weekly PPA time with your Year Group team and a full induction programme with a member of the senior leadership team. In addition, you will have access to significant professional development and a dedicated mentor if you are an ECT. Carbeile Junior School has a strong focus on staff well-being so you will be fully supported in your role.
If you are keen to be part of our very special team, please do request further details. Application packs are available via email from secretary@carbeile.cornwall.sch.uk or by following:
http://www.carbeile.cornwall.sch.uk/about/vacancies/ (check out our website while you’re there)!
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and actively encouraged (as you can probably tell we are extremely proud of our children and school). By visiting the school prior to applying, you will get a real feel for the school and be able to ask further questions, so please do phone for an appointment 01752 812474.
Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, therefore all positions are offered subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and references confirming your suitability to work with children. We will also conduct a low-level Google search and look at social media as part of the recruitment procedure.
This is not a Cornwall Council vacancy therefore please contact the organisation direct for further information.
