Essential Responsibilities:
Assist with shipping and receiving, including unloading trucks and conducting full yard material inventory counts
Manage order processing and perform general warehouse tasks as assigned
Maintain accurate records through daily organization and filing
Ensure yard cleanliness and organization at all times
Perform regular vehicle maintenance checks and complete associated paperwork
Operate forklifts, skid-steers, and other equipment, lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
Keep crew vehicles clean and organized on a consistent basis
Works with crew members as needed to complete daily tasks, including excavating pits, installing rod and rope in conduits, placing underground cables and conduits, assisting in directional bore operations, and removing/replacing concrete and asphalt
Assist in restoring job sites to their original condition after work is completed
Maintains a healthy and safe work environment for the crew, the public, the customer, and Ledcor
Qualifications:
Previous experience in shipping and receiving is an asset
Experience operating and maintaining forklifts and skid steers is required
Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Experience in underground utility construction, civil construction, or landscaping is an asset
Ability to read underground telecommunication plans and work maps is an asset
Technically adept with a strong capacity to learn quickly, analyze information, and problem-solve
Strong written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely
Must have a clean driver’s abstract
Work Conditions:
Applicants that reside in Ontario will be given preference due to the location of this project
Some travel will be required to site and/or other office locations
Working outdoors in various weather conditions
Compensation
$29.99 - $39.40 per hour
This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.
Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
