Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Yard Truck Hostler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for moving trailers throughout the yard to and from loading docks, wash stations, and staging areas in preparation for the next day's production schedule. This position plays a key part in ensuring efficient yard flow and timely trailer availability for various departments.
Shift: 6am-2:30pm and 1:00pm-9:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate yard truck (hostler) to safely move trailers within the facility grounds.
- Back trailers into loading docks for inbound/outbound shipments.
- Position trailers for the wash crew and ensure timely trailer availability.
- Stage trailers in designated areas for the following day's production needs.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report any mechanical issues.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse, wash crew, and transportation teams.
- Weekend work and overtime may be requiered

Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a yard hostler or yard goat preferred.
- Basic knowledge of truck and trailer maneuvering required.
- Class A CDL is not required but familiarity with tractor-trailer operations is essential.
- Ability to back up trailers into tight dock positions with precision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and operate equipment for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Tolerance for working in varying weather conditions.
