Yard Manager, Cape Winelands, R20,000 R25,000 CTC

The Yard Manager will oversee and manage all yard operations. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for ensuring smooth workflow, safety, and productivity, while effectively leading a team of approximately 24 staff members.

This role requires a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain discipline while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

• Experience with ERP System
• Valid Drivers Licence.
• Ability to work independently under pressure.
• Previous supervisory or yard management experience will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily yard operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and productivity.
• Supervise, motivate, and manage a team of ~24 staff members.
• Conduct weekly stock counts and ensure accurate reporting.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the yard.
• Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and operational protocols.
• Manage and safeguard yard resources including forklifts, pallets, and wrapping materials.
• Plan and coordinate loading schedules for timely dispatch.
• Handle staff discipline and labour-related matters effectively.
• Prepare and submit accurate weekly operational reports to factory management.
• Work independently, using initiative to solve operational challenges.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, labour practices, and health & safety regulations.
• Be available to work weekends and after-hours as needed.
