Yard Operative

Winsford , Cheshire CW7

The Yard Operative role is mainly to image and grade vehicles accordingly and preparing for inventory. Keeping vehicle flow moving efficiently and safely.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Yard Duties

• Clean vehicles and remove any rubbish as necessary to ensure high quality images
• Ensuring quality control every step of the way with no damage to vehicles or parts
• Maintain and take ownership of general housekeeping within your selected functional and customer facing area and manage to a high standard to create a safe and streamline environment
• Ensure all personal effects and documents are disposed of correctly following GDPR rules
• Complete any training requirements for the role
• General yard duties

Imaging & Grading Duties

• Responsible for parts inventory of breakers, imaging and grading of panels and parts for our sales channels
• Ensure vehicles are brought by an FLT to designated Inventory / Image areas
• Inventory parts on vehicle and image using the PDA inventory matrix
• Grade parts and image using Company guidelines
• Ensure that a video is taken of the engine of it starting, running and showing exhaust to show any infringements
• Removed parts to be cleaned, tagged, imaged and packed and be ready for sending to despatch or warehouse

Inventory & Destickering Duties

• Supporting with processing stock inventory
• Destickering (taking stickers off vehicles) in line with client agreements and compliance
• Maintaining the highest health & safety standards within work environment
• Supporting GDPR & Salvage Personal Belonging Team with GDPR compliance & contractual SLA’s.

• Good knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Attention to details for Imaging & Inventory
• Work as part of a team and on own initiative
• Have a knowledge of motor vehicles & vehicle parts
• Experience of working outdoors in all weathers
