We are currently seeking a Yard Manager, reporting directly to Head of Construction Department to join our Construction team based in Nanterre La Défense.

About the mission we offer you:

We are looking for an experienced Yard Manager to lead and oversee all construction activities at our project yard site. This is a key leadership role where you will drive safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution while acting as the company’s main representative on site.

You will work closely with project leadership and play a critical role in delivering complex construction projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Site Operations

  • Take full responsibility for all construction activities at the yard site
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and local authorities

Drive Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with HSE policies
  • Monitor performance, lead safety initiatives, and conduct regular site inspections
  • Ensure all activities meet legal, regulatory, and company standards

Deliver Project Performance

  • Oversee construction progress, planning, and reporting
  • Monitor costs and implement corrective actions when needed
  • Ensure quality standards are met across all activities

Manage Stakeholders

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and external partners
  • Lead regular site meetings and provide clear progress updates
  • Represent the company professionally at all times

Develop Teams

  • Lead, coach, and assess site personnel
  • Support training and development, especially for local hires
  • Build a high-performing, collaborative site culture

Your Contribution Before Site Mobilization

Before arriving on site, you will:

  • Review project scope, contracts, and construction strategy
  • Contribute to planning, scheduling, and risk assessments
  • Support subcontracting strategy and key contractor selection
  • Help define site organization, staffing plans, and logistics setup
  • Prepare key procedures (HSE, quality, construction execution)

  • Proven experience in construction/site management, ideally in large-scale industrial or energy projects
  • Strong leadership and team management skills in an international environment
  • Solid understanding of HSE, quality, and construction processes
  • Experience managing subcontractors and complex stakeholder environments
  • Ability to drive performance, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
