Day Shift

Wages starting at $23/hr Overall compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience level and skill set.

Boone Quarry is an underground limestone mine/quarry seeking a day shift Yard Loader Operator for our operation located in Verona, KY We offer competitive pay with health, dental, vision, 401K, short term disability, long term disability and life insurance benefits. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

• Provide friendly, professional, and thorough customer service.
• Commitment to working safely while following all MSHA and company safety policies.
• Ability to safely operate a front-end loader to load customer trucks with crushed stone, gravel, sand and any other materials as directed by management.
• Ability to perform daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance checks, and reporting and mechanical issues promptly.
• Strong understanding of load limits, material weights, and safe loading practices.
• Ensure proper documentation of sales tickets, load sheets, or scale tickets based on company processes.
• Ability to maintain stockpile organization and ensure materials are clearly marked and accessible.
• May be called upon at the discretion of the supervisor in charge to perform any other duties assigned and/or to assist with other areas as necessary

Required Qualifications:

• Individual must be dedicated to operating safely at all times
• Individual must be willing to perform any task required at quarry
• Must be able to identify and alert management to maintenance issues with equipment
• Ability to compete pre-operation inspection paperwork
• Ability to climb ladders and or stairs repeatedly to access or dismount equipment.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods of time.
• Ability to shovel rock, lift buckets, or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Experience operating heavy equipment
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekend when necessary
• Team player attitude
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening
