The Load Builder is primarily responsible for loading and unloading deliveries in the yard and assisting customers in the yard as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Stage loads for delivery or will call (accurately pull correct products from picking ticket).
  • Load and unload trucks as needed.
  • Operate a forklift in a safe and proper manner, according to company procedures/protocols.
  • Follow all safety procedures, ensuring all staff adhere to them as well.
  • Put away products in proper bin locations.
  • Help customers in the yard as needed.
  • Work well with others.
  • Build lumber packs in a timely and accurate manner.
Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:
  • Ability to analyze technical problems, determine root causes, and develop remediation strategies for permanent resolutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Available for occasional overtime.
  • Must be able to lift 60 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods (8–10 hours per day).
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Ability to follow directions, take initiative, and be coachable.
  • Honest, dependable, punctual, and demonstrates a high level of integrity.
  • Strong organizational, customer service, and teamwork skills with a positive attitude.
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction while completing daily tasks.
  • Forklift and load-building skills are not required but are preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with those skills.
