About the Role:

As a key member of the Brisbane Meadowbrook branch, we are looking for an upbeat team-player. You will work as an all-rounder where no two days will be the same. Your input will be crucial to maintaining efficient operations within the workshop including loading, unloading, and cleaning of plant and equipment and general pickups. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform safe loading and unloading of plant and equipment exiting and returning to the yard.
  • Perform safe cleaning and detailing of all plant and equipment in the yard.
  • Conduct general housekeeping of the yard facilities in accordance with company standards.
  • Manage OH&S and environmental hazards in the workplace.
  • Conduct general workshop/yard cleanliness, tidiness and litter management.
  • Ensuring timely completion for all inspection, testing, safety, delivery and purchasing paperwork is accurately completed in full.
  • T/A work for tradesman when and as needed.
  • Responsible for stock takes. – remove spare parts from ad
  • Attention to detail to produce quality work such as paperwork and order picking.
  • Assist as otherwise directed.
  • Basic assembly of components such as pipe fittings and valves.

Skills and Experience:

Essential

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Current Drivers License
  • High Risk Forklift License (LF).
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools
  • Patient, flexible and adaptable to changing and challenging circumstances with great problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and an ability to juggle multiple competing priorities.
  • Ability to work well with other team members and champion the NPE brand.
  • Ability to work with flexibility and initiative with limited direction or supervision.

Desirable

  • Previous Experience in the Rental, Mining, Construction or Heavy industries would be advantageous.
  • Rigging & Dogging License (DG/RG).
  • Aptitude for understanding and using machines or tools.
