Job Description

Umpqua Dairy Foods Inc., a leading supplier and distributor of high-quality award-winning dairy products, is looking for a yard attendant to join our winning team. The Yard Attendant is an essential member of the transportation team. The Yard Attendant is responsible for safely and effectively spotting specific trailers to the correct loading docks. This is a physically demanding job and 18 months experience with a Class A- CDL is required.
$27.69/hr - $30.77/hr

Essential Functions:

• Move trailers and other equipment around the yard using a yard truck.
• Ensure that trailers are properly spotted for loading and unloading.
• Perform daily safety checks on the yard truck and report any issues to management.
• Assist with loading and unloading of trailers when needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized yard.
• Communicate with other yard personnel and management to ensure efficient operations.
• Drive and operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
• Fill Whey tanker and haul to disposal site
• Haul trailers to off site storage as needed
• Assist with special deliveries and emergency route fill in
• Other duties as assigned
