This exciting new position within Bowens offers a unique chance to take on a hands-on hybrid opportunity. The Yard Assistant will undertake a combination of yard, customer service and driving responsibilities.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Pick and pack customer orders from picking slips to ensure that they are prepared accurately and ready for the agreed delivery time
  • Serving customers and ensuring they receive an outstanding customer experience
  • Maintain the transport pick and despatch system
  • Delivering timber and hardware products to customers
  • Cleaning of the yard and ensuring it is neat and tidy at all times
  • Working to the standards set in the Bowens Blueprint

We are looking for an individual who possess the below skills:

  • A valid drivers licence
  • A forklift licence is advantageous
  • Appreciation of OH&S and a capability to undertake physical tasks safely
  • Strong communication skills
  • Passionate about customer service
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Ability to work independently as well as contribute as a team member
