– Yard, Delivery & Building Maintenance Associate
The Yard, Delivery & Building Maintenance Associate supports daily store operations by assisting customers, handling product deliveries, maintaining yard organization, and performing routine building and grounds maintenance. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist customers with loading merchandise safely and efficiently
• Organize and maintain lumber yard, bulk product areas, and outdoor inventory
• Receive, unload, and stock incoming freight and vendor shipments
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (training provided if needed)
• Safely load, secure, and deliver customer orders including appliances, grills, and building materials
• Provide professional and friendly customer service during deliveries
• Maintain delivery vehicles including cleanliness and routine inspections
• Assist with routine building maintenance and minor repairs
• Help maintain store appearance inside and outside the facility
• Perform grounds maintenance including trash removal, seasonal upkeep, snow removal, and lawn care
• Assist with store projects, displays, and general facility improvements
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in indoor and outdoor environments
• Ability to work in varying seasonal weather conditions
Qualifications:
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Basic mechanical or maintenance experience preferred but not required
Compensation: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
