Job Description

Hour: Monday- Friday 7:30-4:00 or 7:30-4:30 No Evenings, Weekends or Holidays!   Position Responsibilities/Standards: 
Responsible for assisting physician in patient care, performing all necessary x-rays, with a high degree of quality, escort patients to rooms, medical assistance as needed, order medical and x-ray supplies, maintain x-ray records. General
  • Attend department, clinic or company meetings as required
  • Demonstrate sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns
  • Consistently work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow staff members.
  • Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary.
  • Attend required annual in-service programs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all company policies and procedures. Adheres to established facility safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Identifies potentially unsafe situations and notifies supervisor.
Specific Duties
  • Escort patients to x-ray suite
  • Prepare patients for x-ray
  • Perform x-rays as required by physicians
  • Document procedure performed in log book
  • Escort patients back to exam rooms
  • Communication with physicians, patients and staff
  • Medical assistance as needed
  • Be available to physicians during office hours
  • Ensure equipment is maintained properly
  • Order x-ray supplies as needed
  • Pulling, filing and mail back of x-rays.
  • Answer patient questions
Additional Duties
  • Travel to other JIS locations as necessary.
  • OSHA
  • Filing as needed – within 24 hours
Education/Experience Required:
  • Must be ARRT and have an Ohio Radiography license.
  • Must be friendly, courteous and have good communication skills when greeting patients.
Physical Requirements: Physical requirements for the position include the ability to frequently hear and communicate orally, see up close and at a distance, read and comprehend, stand, sit, walk, reach, handle, and/or feel objects.  Must be able to climb, pull, push and kneel.  Maximum unassisted lift = 50 lbs.  Average lift 25-50 lbs.
