xCelle Americas Painter II - 18820
· Clean, strip, sand, grind, mask, apply conversion coatings, and seal aircraft skins, parts, and sub-assemblies.· Cleans work area, spray booths, racks, drying ovens, and changes filters in booths when required.· Mix and apply primers, epoxies, urethanes, and topcoats using HVLP spray guns and specialized tools.· Follow, paint schematics, and design layouts for branding, stencils, and placard application.· Inspect finished surfaces for flaws, proper adhesion, and color accuracy.· Follow xCelle Americas company policies and procedures.· Follow FAA, OSHA, and environmental protocols, including hazardous waste disposal and respirator use.· Coordinate with Lead Technician to support production schedule.· Complete maintenance records by utilizing their endorsement, in accordance with xCelle Americas Quality Management System.· Notify immediate supervisor of any suspected un-airworthy condition noted while performing their duties.· Train, coach and mentor lower grade painters in the performance of their duties, as necessary.· Other duties as needed or as assigned.
· Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.· Minimum of 3 years performing painting processes, with 5+ years of aviation painting experience preferred. · Ability to read, write and understand English fluently.· Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs, stand for long periods, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.· Ability to pass a pulmonary function test for respirator clearance.
