xCelle Americas - Engineering Liaison-18417

The Engineering Liaison has duties and responsibilities related to engineering support functions. This role involves working closely with various departments and groups inside and outside the organization to identify, research, and develop engineering products to resolve “out of scope” damage and conditions while ensuring those products and associated parts meet OEM, customer, quality management system, and regulatory requirements.

  • Knows and understands company / department policies and safety procedures.
  • Must be proficient with technical data of all types including but not limited to Drawings, SRMs, CMMs, CMIs, SOPMs, SRIs, PMSs, Service Bulletins, Technical Dispositions, Work Instructions, Service Instructions, customer maintenance documents, best practices, etc.
  • Develops key data, documentation, preliminary layouts, sketches, and the annotations necessary for damage or condition analysis.
  • Must be able to investigate and analyze conditions to resolve engineering issues by identifying and documenting defects or conditions on components, subassemblies, and associated parts. The results of analysis are used to generate NDDs (Nacelle Damage Descriptions) that provide sufficient detail of defect or condition to submit the information to the OEM or FAA DER (as applicable) for stress analysis and approval.
  • Ensures that all documents issued by engineering for the purposes of repair, overhaul, and modification of components and parts is compliant with current maintenance data, customer specifications, manufacturer’s data, or approved data acceptable to the Administrator.
  • Develops detail part fabrication planning with the correct sequence of operations utilizing technical data and specifications.
  • Must be familiar with technical data repair procedures, OEM engineering repair procedures, and DER repairs when applicable.
  • Interfaces with various groups to assist with OEM engineering specifications and technical document interpretation.
  • Serves as liaison between xCelle Americas and OEM Engineering, DERs, and customer engineering departments.
  • Other duties as needed or as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 to 5 years of experience preferred or 3 to 7 years of relevant experience.

·Excellent written and oral communication skills

·Excellent organization skills

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Internet software.

·Detail oriented with a strong knowledge of engineering and repair principles and practices.

·Ability to communicate, organize, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines

·Flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously

·Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
