X-Ray Aide - Full Time Night Shift (12:00 AM - 8:30 AM)
At Stony Brook Medicine, our X-Ray Aides are valuable members of our team, whoprovide empathic care to our patients, their families and visitors, with the highest degree of integrity and respect. Under the supervision of a higher level technical or supervisory staff, the X-Ray Aide performs routine technical support activities in the Radiology Department.
Qualified candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, knowledge and understanding of patient care and effectively respond to changing patient needs by making decisions based on ethical principles and adhering to our high standard of excellence.
Duties of an X-Ray Aide may include the following but are not limited to:
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma
Preferred Qualifications: Must possess good communication and customer service skills. Patient transport experience is preferred.
Essential Position: All Hospital employees are designated as essential personnel. Positions that are designated as such are required to report to work and/or remain at work in cases of emergencies, staff shortages, increased census, and/or inclement weather.

Prior to start date, the selected candidate must meet the following requirements: Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Medicine's Employee Health Services (The hiring department will be responsible for any fee incurred for examination), submit (3) written references, and provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s). Anticipated Pay Range:
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position is $35,496 / year.
The above salary range represents SBUH’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidate’s validated years of comparable experience. Any efforts to inflate or misrepresent experience are grounds for disqualification from the application process or termination of employment if hired.
Some positions offer annual supplemental pay such as:
Location pay for UUP, CSEA & PEF full-time positions ($4000)
Inconvenience pay/supplemental shift differential. ($575)
