The precast pipes that leaves our Pokeno yard doesn’t get much attention — and that’s kind of the point. It goes into the ground right across New Zealand and just does its job, quietly, for the next hundred years. Getting it right the first time takes skill, focus, and a crew that cares about the standard on the product.
We’re after a Production Technician -X-Cast to join that crew at our Pokeno site. It’s honest, hands-on work for someone who likes seeing a finished product at the end of the day, backs the people around them, and takes real pride in a job done right.
We’re a family-owned New Zealand company that’s been going since 1973, and today we’re the country’s biggest maker of reinforced concrete pipe and precast products. Seven manufacturing plants, branches nationwide, more than 800 people — but still run on a pretty simple idea: look after your people, do the right thing, and back each other. Pokeno is our largest manufacturing site, and one of the most advanced precast facilities of its kind in the world — and it’s where you come in.
You’ll report to the Production Manager and work as part of the team that turns steel, and concrete into finished precast product. Mould set-up, reinforcement, casting, finishing, stripping and QC — you’ll move across all of it, and no two days will look quite the same. Whatever leaves the yard leaves at the standard you set.
