Job Summary

The Keyholder is responsible for ensuring customers receive an elevated and inclusive retail experience when engaging with a Wylie Welling retail store or off-site location. This role will support the Retail Store Manager by bringing the brand story to life through consumer experience initiatives, visual merchandising, and operational excellence. Ensuring the retail associate team receives updated information about new products, performance goals, and upcoming events, and are supported in their own development.

Associate Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Retail Store Manager on setting and achieving team-specific retail goals.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team environment where associates can bring their best to work each day.
  • Deliver upon established consumer experience expectations, ensuring visual merchandising and operational standards are met.
  • Lead the sales floor, ensuring all operational and safety processes are followed while on shift.
  • Maintain customer relationships and prioritize the capture of guest information following an interaction.
  • Support the Retail Store Manager in planning and executing any necessary changes in the visual environment.
  • Maintain organization of back stock inventory and supplies, reporting shortages to the Retail Store Manager.
  • Responsible for learning and communicating all brand, product, and repair process knowledge internally and to guests.
  • Support the execution of in-store events and pop-ups.
  • Support the Retail Store Manager in preparing new merchandise for the floor from receipt to visual merchandising on the floor.
  • Maintain accuracy in the shipping process for Wylie Welling’s online orders fulfilled in-store.
  • Bring new ideas and best practices to improve the experience of Wylie Welling internally and to guests.
  • Maintain a commitment to continuous learning, professional growth, and associate success.

Required Education

  • HS Diploma or GED required; College degree preferred.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in retail sales or customer service inclusive of the following:
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience required in a retail environment preferred.
  • Visual merchandising, inventory control, and loss prevention.
  • Knowledge in staffing, coaching, counseling, training, and development.
  • Excellent time management, organization, prioritization, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional team and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of POS Systems and MS Office.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Typical retail environment; store setting. Extended periods of time standing; typing on a computer is required.
  • Moderate Lifting (30-40 lbs)
  • Retail hours
  • Travel may be required
  • This position has an On-Site location: Associate will work on-site for all work-related activities.
