Wētā Workshop Unleashed is internationally recognised for excellence in visitor attractions. The 90-minute wildly imaginative film fx experience invites guests of all ages on a thrilling journey through the worlds of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy in the making.
Our Wētā Cave retail store is a cavern of creativity in its own right! Guests are greeted by giant trolls on arrival and can purchase all kinds of props, merchandise and collectibles.

As the awesomely approachable face of Unleashed, you'll be welcoming guests into the creative world of Wētā Workshop. You'll use the monsters, robots, fantasy worlds, giants, spaceships and all manner of whacky stuff to inspire and spread a love of creativity to our guests.

Established by Richard Taylor and Tania Rodger in 1987, we are best known for our screen work on The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Avatar, and Dune, our immersive visitor experiences, Gallipoli: The Scale of our War, Expo 2020 Dubai’s Mobility Pavilion and Wētā Workshop Unleashed. Based in Wellington, New Zealand, Wētā Workshop’s ground-breaking work has earned us multiple international awards.
