Presidential Fellows – Experiential Learning & Leadership Placement
Presidential Fellows participate in meaningful, individualized experiences designed to complement their academic interests, career goals, and areas they wish to explore. Placements vary by student and may include research, communications, leadership, project development, community engagement, administrative initiatives, or other professional experiences.
Each Fellow is matched with a faculty or staff mentor and provided opportunities to develop transferable skills, build professional relationships, take on increasing responsibility, and gain exposure to people and experiences that support their future academic and career goals.
Presidential Fellows are expected to actively participate in their placement, communicate professionally with their mentor, reflect on what they are learning, and contribute meaningfully to the work of the department or program. Placements may evolve as the Fellow develops new skills and interests.
The goal is not simply to complete assigned tasks, but to provide an intentional learning experience that helps Fellows connect their academic studies, practical experience, leadership development, and future aspirations.
