The Finance, Governance and Capital Policy Sector within the Financial Services and Capital Planning Division of Alberta’s Ministry of Education and Childcare plays a central role in supporting school business operations, advancing capital planning and policy, and delivering strategic initiatives across the ministry. The sector leads complex, high‑profile priorities and provides integrated analysis, advice, and solutions to address emerging issues, ensuring alignment with government priorities and effective decision‑making.

Reporting to the Strategic Advisor, the Writer-Editor has a critical role in ensuring the strategic efforts of the sector are focused and aligned internally and externally. As a member of the Finance, Governance, and Capital Policy sector team, the position develops responses to strategically relevant issues and plans and manages the sector’s strategic information program.

University graduation in English, Journalism, Professional Writing for a related field with no experience required; or equivalent as described below.

This is (1) Permanent position working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
