We currently have an opportunity for a Wrapper Tech at our Manufacturing Plant in Huntersville, NC.

DAY SHIFT HOURS

(12 Hour Shift)

Responsibilities

The Wrapper Tech provides advanced technical operation, setup, and troubleshooting of wrapping and packaging equipment to ensure the safe, efficient, and continuous production of quality finished goods. Maintains equipment performance through machine adjustments, changeovers, and preventive operational activities while supporting operational excellence, product quality, and manufacturing reliability. Partners with production, maintenance, and quality teams to optimize packaging operations, minimize downtime, and drive continuous improvement. This position operates with a high degree of technical independence and directly impacts packaging efficiency, equipment utilization, and customer satisfaction.

Packaging Operations

  • Operate and maintain wrapping, spooling, winding, case packing, cartoning, and palletizing equipment to support continuous manufacturing operations.
  • Perform equipment setup, changeovers, and machine adjustments to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
  • Monitor packaging equipment performance and maintain production at established safety, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Complete production documentation accurately and communicate equipment status during shift transitions.

Equipment Performance

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement authorized corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Inspect packaging equipment and identify conditions affecting reliability or operational performance.
  • Adjust machine components to correct defects and maintain product quality.
  • Support routine maintenance activities by identifying equipment concerns requiring additional technical support.

Quality & Process Control

  • Inspect finished products to verify compliance with established quality specifications.
  • Monitor packaging processes and adjust equipment to maintain product consistency and reduce waste.
  • Identify quality defects and take appropriate action within established operating procedures.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records that support manufacturing performance.

Safety & Continuous Improvement

  • Follow established safety procedures and manufacturing standards to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards that support efficient and organized packaging operations.
  • Provide technical guidance and operational support to less experienced production associates as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education/Experience

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.

Preferred

  • Experience operating high-speed packaging or converting equipment.
  • Experience performing equipment changeovers and process adjustments.
  • Experience supporting continuous manufacturing operations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of packaging equipment and manufacturing operations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot routine equipment issues.
  • Ability to perform equipment setup, adjustments, and changeovers.
  • Understanding of manufacturing quality standards and process controls.
  • Ability to identify product defects and implement routine corrective actions.
  • Effective analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity objectives.
