About the role:
As Wound Ostomy Incontinence Nurse, you will be responsible for the overall development, implementation, and ongoing modification of system wide programs to assure evidence-based skin, wound, ostomy and continence care.
Serve primarily as a clinical consultant.
Provide direct patient care and education to selected patients.
Support staff development in areas of expertise to all members of the interdisciplinary team, including physicians and other internal and external customers.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 2 years of clinical practice within the last 4 years.
Required Certification/Registration:
Current RN license in California.
Current AHA Healthcare Provider
Graduate of an accredited school of WOCN or Wound Care Certification(WCC) or WCC or WOCN education in progress with completion within 2 years of hire.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
Current Certification as a WOCN or WON.
