As a Wound Care NP or PA, you will help patients through some of their most vulnerable healing journeys while collaborating closely with nurses, physicians, specialists, caregivers, and community providers to deliver thoughtful, evidence based care.
You will have the ability to practice hands on medicine, build meaningful patient relationships, and contribute to improving health outcomes throughout rural Central Washington.

Perform comprehensive assessments for patients with acute and chronic wounds
Develop, implement, and adjust individualized evidence based treatment plans
Perform bedside procedures including sharp and mechanical debridement
Select and apply wound dressings and advanced wound therapies
Perform incision and drainage procedures when indicated
Utilize therapies including negative pressure wound therapy, biologics, and compression therapy
Order and interpret diagnostic testing, labs, imaging, and vascular studies related to wound management
Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice and clinic protocols
Monitor healing progress and modify treatment plans as needed
Work closely with wound care nursing staff to ensure coordinated patient care
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, home health agencies, and referring providers
Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews and care planning meetings
Provide education to patients and caregivers regarding wound prevention and healing expectations
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation
Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence based clinical standards
Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
Board certification in NP or PA specialty
DEA registration or ability to obtain
Minimum of one year of clinical experience in wound care, dermatology, surgery, vascular care, or related specialty
Proficiency in wound assessment and debridement techniques
Strong clinical decision making and procedural skills
Excellent interpersonal communication and patient education abilities
A collaborative and compassionate approach to care
Preferred qualifications include:
Wound Care Certification such as WCC, CWCN, CWON, or equivalent
Experience with advanced wound care modalities
Experience in outpatient or specialty clinic settings
In rural healthcare, access to specialty care matters deeply.
This role helps ensure patients in Central Washington can receive specialized wound care services close to home without needing to travel long distances for treatment.
