Director of Operations - Wound Care (Remote)
NIVA Health is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Director of Operations to lead and scale operational performance across our growing mobile healthcare organization. This fully remote leadership position is responsible for overseeing regional clinical operations through a team of Directors of Nursing (DONs) who manage mobile wound care providers delivering services in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, patients' homes, and other post-acute care settings.
The Director of Operations will serve as a key operational leader responsible for driving performance, accountability, quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, provider productivity, workforce development, and operational excellence across multiple markets. This role requires a healthcare operations executive who can effectively lead through layers of management, develop high-performing teams, and create scalable systems that support rapid organizational growth.
Candidates with backgrounds as Licensed Nursing Home Administrators (LNHA/NHA), Regional Healthcare Administrators, Executive Directors, Multi-Site Healthcare Operators, Home Health Administrators, Regional Directors of Operations, or Healthcare Practice Leaders are strongly encouraged to apply.
Essential Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Provide strategic and operational oversight for multiple markets and clinical service regions.
- Lead a team of Directors of Nursing responsible for supervising mobile wound care provider teams.
- Ensure consistent execution of operational standards, workflows, and performance expectations across all regions.
- Develop scalable systems, processes, and infrastructure to support organizational growth.
- Monitor operational performance and implement improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Leadership & Team Development
- Directly supervise and mentor Directors of Nursing and other operational leaders.
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish performance expectations and leadership development plans for operational management teams.
- Partner with clinical leadership to recruit, retain, and develop top talent.
Mobile Healthcare Operations Management
- Oversee operational support for mobile wound care providers treating patients in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, homes, and other care settings.
- Ensure provider scheduling, staffing models, patient access, and geographic coverage align with business objectives.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to optimize patient care delivery workflows.
- Identify and remove operational barriers affecting provider productivity and patient outcomes.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational healthcare regulations.
- Monitor quality indicators, patient outcomes, and operational performance metrics.
- Lead operational readiness efforts for audits, accreditation reviews, and compliance initiatives.
- Partner with clinical leadership to drive continuous quality improvement efforts.
Financial & Business Performance
- Manage operational budgets and resource allocation.
- Monitor productivity, labor utilization, and operational efficiency metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability while maintaining exceptional patient care.
- Support forecasting, strategic planning, and market expansion initiatives.
Strategic Growth
- Lead operational implementation of new markets, service lines, and organizational initiatives.
- Partner with executive leadership on strategic growth planning.
- Support integration of technology, automation, and workflow optimization initiatives.
- Drive successful organizational change management efforts.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare operations leadership experience.
- Experience managing leaders who oversee clinical or healthcare service teams.
- Demonstrated success leading multi-site or geographically dispersed healthcare operations.
- Strong experience with staffing, workforce management, operational metrics, and performance improvement.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred
- Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA/NHA) experience.
- Regional Director of Operations experience.
- Home Health, Post-Acute Care, Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Hospice, Mobile Healthcare, or Value-Based Care experience.
- Master's degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, MSN, or related field).
- Experience scaling healthcare operations across multiple states or markets.
