World Wide Instant Ink Program Manager

The Instant Ink Program Manager is a senior role that orchestrates end-to-end category execution for HP’s Instant Ink subscription business. This role acts as the central program leader bridging Instant Ink strategy and day-to-day execution, ensuring that new initiatives are properly rolled to markets and channels.

The focus forward-looking: coordinate multiple functions to execute plans, and continuously improving processes. The Program Manager will collaborate extensively with Category Managers, Product Management teams, Market teams, Customer Success and Advanced Analytics, Supply Chain and HP’s Amplify partner organization to achieve our subscriber and revenue goals. Excellent project management and prioritization skills are very valued.

Key Responsibilities

1. Partner Program

  • Re-define Partner Compensation Strategy: Identify opportunities to optimize Retail Partners Compensation for Instant Ink, evolve compensation model based on the service evolution and future growth business needs Act as a primary liaison to Market Execution, Operations and Legal teams for partner-related initiatives. Oversee partner data management and compliance. Handle escalations or exceptions in partner compensation, and coordinate with Legal on any program terms or contract updates needed for new partners or new program terms.
  • Lead HP Amplify Retail Partner Program – Strategy & Execution for Instant Ink: set program terms and compensation model, Key performance indicators and oversee performance tracking.
  • Own partner onboarding and partner data management for Instant Ink within Subscriber Growth.

2. Price Change Operationalization: Translate Instant Ink pricing strategy changes into execution plans. For any price updates (e.g. plan price adjustments, new plan tiers, regional price actions), you will drive end-to-end operational readiness aligning systems, customer communications, partner notices, and ensuring successful rollout in all affected markets.

3. Promotion Guidelines & Execution: team up with the Promo lead to develop and maintain promo offer strategies and tools for Instant Ink. Set global promo guidelines and manage the operationalization of promotions – from creation of promo codes / PINs and assets, through deployment across markets, to performance tracking.

4. Operational Excellence & Process Optimization

  • Process Improvement: Streamline and improve processes central to Instant Ink operations. Examples include optimizing the localization process for Instant Ink content (ensuring timely translation and deployment of offers, emails, T&Cs), improving how promotions are requested and fulfilled, and refining partner onboarding workflows (Apollo). Use feedback from markets to eliminate pain points and increase efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication: Act as a hub of communication between the Instant Ink Category team and Market Execution Team. Manage weekly meetings to ensure Markets have clarity on upcoming programs and changes (e.g. through weekly category forums). Build strong relationships with country category managers, ensuring their feedback and local challenges inform global program decisions.
  • Compliance & Alignment: Ensure that all programs and changes adhere to HP’s policies and compliance requirements. Coordinate with legal on partner agreements or any partner-facing changes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus but not required.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in program management, category management, or go-to-market operations, ideally in a subscription or services business. Experience working on consumer or channel programs at a regional or worldwide level is highly valued.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of subscription business models and go-to-market levers. Familiarity with Instant Ink or similar services (e.g. SaaS, telecom plans, memberships) is a plus.
  • Program Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders and workstreams. Excellent organization, project planning, and multitasking skills to handle ongoing initiatives simultaneously. Able to drive accountability and follow-ups in a matrix team environment.
  • Analytical & Insights Skills: Data-driven mindset with experience interpreting business performance metrics.
  • Influence & Communication: Good communication skills Capable of influencing senior leaders using data and logic. Clear written and verbal communication for framing operational plans and cost or efficiency process improvements.
  • Leadership & Autonomy: This is an Expert-level role at HP, requiring a high level of autonomy, strategic thinking, and leadership without direct authority. You should be comfortable making decisions in ambiguous situations, leading by influence, and representing the Instant Ink business in cross-organizational forums.
  • Agility and Innovation: Proven track record of driving improvements and embracing new ways of working. Curious and proactive in finding solutions – whether optimizing a process or piloting a new program. Experience with AI or digital transformation projects is a plus, as this role will seek to leverage such tools to enhance Instant Ink’s execution.
