THE ROLE

B.L Shipway is growing fast and we now seeking an experienced Hydraulic Workshop Tradesperson/Technician to join our friendly, supportive and fast-moving workshop in Camden Park SA. This is an ONSITE position and will get to work on all sorts of mechanical gear, for all sorts of clients.

This permanent, full-time position is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of hydraulic systems, contributing to our commitment to quality and excellence in production. The ideal candidate will play a key role in assisting with the day-to-day servicing and repairs to hydraulic equipment and parts.

This workshop based role is offering up a permanent contract, full time (Mon-Fri) hours and an attractive $$$ salary. The position will ideally suit someone who lives close-by and enjoys being based at one location.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all workshop activities to be carried out in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
  • Maintain the Workshop and Workshop equipment in a safe and tidy condition.
  • Ability to recognise problems, issues and to implement appropriate solutions in Fluid Power Systems and components.
  • Demonstrate commitment to WHS Policy and Procedures, participate in continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate commitment to follow Company Quality Procedures, participate in continuous improvement.
  • Provide feedback to the Workshop Manager and team in regards to improvements, through daily interaction and formal toolbox meetings.
  • All Workshop documentation; Take 5 For Safetys, Site Record Forms, Store Requisitions, Delivery Dockets and Final Inspections to be completed as per Company procedures with attention to detail
  • Ordering and gathering of required components and parts in conjunction with the Workshop Manager.

ABOUT YOU

  • Have 5 years + hydraulic experience
  • Mechanical aptitude, sound mechanical knowledge
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Certificate 3 in Mechanical Engineering or Trade equivalent
  • Current Drivers license
  • LR Light Rigid Licence (Preferred requirement)
  • Current High Risk Forklift Licence
  • Work Safely at Heights Training (RIIOHS204A)
